A Union is a fitting that connects pipes of the same diameter. Its primary function is to serve as a coupling in applications requiring disassembly. Unions are designed to facilitate easy disconnection and reassembly, making them convenient for maintenance, replacements, and repairs.

A Coupling serves the purpose of connecting pipes, similar to a Union in appearance. While a Union has the distinctive feature of being capable of disassembly, a Coupling is typically assembled once and remains fixed. A Coupling has internal threads that grip the ends of the pipes, allowing for a threaded connection or can be welded for a secure joint.

Bushings allow for the connection of a fitting or component on one end and a pipe on the other end. They are designed to be secured and fixed through threaded connections and cannot be connected through welding or other methods.
